Hello. My name is Dermot Allen and I’m a Sydney based photographer who has been involved in photography for many years and this web site is a promise to myself to share my images; thank you for spending the time to visit. It contains some of my favourite images and I hope you like them too.
As someone who early in life came to the conclusion that I could neither draw, paint or sculpt a work of art it was clear to me I needed an outlet to let my creativity run free. For me this was photography and I soon realised the world around us has an abundance of beauty, colours and textures waiting to be recorded. If I can capture some of that magic; maybe see something that others do not see and record it for people to enjoy then I am happy.
